Everything for everyone
While the RAM 1500 Classic incorporates the elements of the slightly modernized older generation pickup truck, the RAM 1500 instead offers a range of versions capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding. The Tradesman version serves as the entry-level, while the Big Horn, Laramie, Sport, Long Horn and Limited versions are also part of the family, each offering a different level of accessories. You can also opt for one of the many configurations, from Quad cab to Double cabin, with a small (5.6 feet) or a longer (6.3 feet) cargo box.
Spectacular engines
In addition to its various versions and configurations, the 2020 RAM offers the possibility of obtaining two- or four-wheel drive, or of opting for motorizations providing power and versatility. A 3.6-litre 305-horsepower V6 engine is the basis for the RAM Tradesman. The RAM Sport (exclusive in Canada) and the other versions take advantage of the 5.7-litre V8 engine that develops 395 horsepower. A 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 is also available on all trims. Properly equipped, this Ecodiesel can tow up to 12,560 pounds (5,700 kilos). Adding technology to power, the RAM 1500 is also available in some versions with e-torque, a form of light hybridization that reduces fuel consumption.
A luxurious interior
The cockpit of the RAM 1500 was named, for the second year in a row, in the list of the "ten most beautiful cockpits in the industry," according to Ward Auto. It has a large multimedia central display screen, including the UConnect multifunction system. An active noise control system limits unnecessary cabin noise, while the materials and build quality give it unique sophistication. Abundant storage spaces complete the interior design.
